What You May Not Know About An IPad


There is a reason that iPad sales have skyrocketed over the past few years. There is so much you can do and it makes common tasks easier. You want to use this device to its potential. You can access a remote server using a VPN. If you want to establish a connection to a VPN with your iPad, locate the tab labeled Network and enable the VPN feature. Before establishing a VPN connection, you will need to provide credentials such as a username or server address. If you aren"t sure about the address of the server, the network administrator can help you.


Is there anything more annoying than accidentally launching a seriously noisy app? The volume can quickly be muted by holding down the decrease volume button. If you mute often, you can set your lock orientation button as a tool to mute.


Calendar App


If you use Google Calendar and want it included within the calendar app on your iPad, then go to your Mail option, followed by Contacts and finally Calendars. Choose Other under Add An Account. Tap the Add CalDAV Account icon and put in your Google information. Next, you exit the settings section in order to access the calendar app. Everything you need should be right there!


Open new pages by using a new tab to enable you to keep multiple pages open at once. Instead of tapping a link quickly, hold it until a menu appears. A pop-up menu will appear. One of the options allows you to launch a new tab with that link.


Default Search Engine


Would you rather use something other than Google for a default search engine? Just click on Settings, then Safari and then Search Engine. You can then change the default search engine if you desire to do so.


Do you find it irritating that you have to constantly tap your bookmarks icon to view your favorite sites? Well you can turn on the bookmarks bar permanently and eliminate this problem. Select Settings, Safari, and choose the Always Show Bookmarks tab.


If you find yourself in a situation where you must mute sound on your iPad, try this trick. Just hold the - volume button for a few seconds. This will allow you to get the job done fast and efficiently. When ready for original volume level, simply hold the button down again.
