Use Your IPad To Its Full Potential

Your iPad is your friend, but maybe you don"t know how to take advantage of that friendship just yet. The only thing standing in your way is the right information, as your iPad is a great resource. Keep reading the following article to better understand your iPad.

Watch the amount of money you are putting out for iPad applications. Sometimes, apps can cost a lot, especially if you purchase a lot of them. Because of this, you need to keep track of what you spend.

Are you finding it annoying to receive constant messages from your iPad asking if you are interested in accessing a wifi network that it has detected? You can turn this feature off by going to your settings. Open the Wi-Fi tab of the settings menu and choose the last item in the list that appears if you don"t wish to receive network prompts.

Running Apps

Make sure you check out your currently running apps. A good number of iPad apps are able to run seemingly in the background at the same time that you are otherwise engaged. To take a look at all running apps, double-click the Home button. Everything that is open will be displayed in a bar located underneath all of your other information. After you see what is running, close the bar by swiping downward.

If you want to review a photo or video you just shot, you do not have to select the camera icon on the bottom left of the screen. Swipe to your right using a finger, and there is your video or picture. After this, swipe left to see older content.

The factory default iPad setting is set to preview only two written lines from each email prior to you selecting it. Sometimes, you may want to have a larger preview. You can select mail from your settings. Open the mail tab in the settings app, then navigate to Contacts > Calendar. Once there, choose the number of lines to preview using the "preview mail" option.

Search Engine

If you are a Google-phobe and want to use some other search engine as your primary search provider, it is possible to make this happen. Just click on Settings, then Safari and then Search Engine. From here, you can change your search engine preference to Yahoo, Bing, etc. if you wish.

If you find yourself in a situation where you must mute sound on your iPad, try this trick. Just press and hold the "volume down" key for two seconds. Doing this is more efficient then pressing it multiple times. When you want to hear your device at a normal level again, just hold the volume down for the same amount of time.

Easily find your running apps fast! You simply have to quickly click the home button twice to bring up a list of running apps. This trick will save you time, versus scrolling through separate screens to find what you are looking for.

iCloud is an exceptional utility for iPad users who are always online. Doing so can save your information without running out of HD space. Make sure that important documents are stored on both your iPad and the cloud function.

To see every app that is current running, double click the home button. You then get a bar with the apps that are running, and to get to them you simply tap the icon there. This will help you to compartmentalize all of your applications.

Make the most of tabs when you are on the Internet. There"s no reason to lose your place when web browsing just because you found an interesting link. Holding the link versus tapping it can bring up your options menu. Then just click on the Open in New Tab option, and the device will create a new page for you to view seperately from the one you are currently on.

While you may not think it is necessary, it is always smart to put a security feature on your iPad. You could lose it accidentally at any time, and it stores a great deal of sensitive information, such as phone numbers, emails, addresses and maybe even bank account information.

Do your eyes feel like they are straining when you read on the iPad? This can be fixed by lowering the screen"s brightness as you read. The brightness adjustment can be made through the Settings menu or via the iBook application using a graphical slider.

You should now know much more about using the iPad. This device is portable, powerful and full of resources. Remember these tips and you"ll be well on your way to having a great experience.
